My Passion for the Dutch Language
I grew up in the Netherlands. My love for, not only, the Dutch language started at a very young age. While I attended primary school, my teachers selected me to help younger pupils. Specifically, two classmates and I helped them with their Dutch reading skills. Consequently, I still remember how proud I felt during those tasks! In addition, I joined the school newspaper team. As a result, I spent every month writing interviews and creative stories.
Later on, my journey took me to the Canary Islands. I lived and worked there as a tour guide for many years. During this time, I mastered Spanish. Currently, I live in Greece. Now, I personally tackle the challenge of learning the Greek language.
Because I constantly learn new languages, I know the difficulties. Therefore, I completely understand your hurdles. This is especially true if your native language uses a non-Latin script like Greek or Cyrillic.
Over 20 Years of Teaching Experience
I have coached non-native speakers in the Dutch language since the 1990s. Specifically, my path started as a favour for a colleague. He asked me to help a friend. Since then, this project has grown into a lifelong professional passion.
During my lessons, I focus on a balanced combination of speaking, writing, and reading. Furthermore, my approach remains practical and patient. I completely customize lessons to your individual pace.
Ultimately, you might be an absolute beginner. Or, you may want to perfect your fluency. I gladly invite you to join my private lessons. Therefore, let’s work together to unlock your confidence in Dutch!

How to Successfully Practice Your Dutch Language
Private classes provide the fastest path to great results. However, daily immersion is the true key to fluency. So, you should use my top tips to practice outside our lessons:
Watch with Subtitles: Dutch TV networks never dub foreign movies. Instead, they always use subtitles. You can use this system to your advantage. For example, watch Dutch shows with subtitles in your own language. Or, watch foreign films with Dutch subtitles.
Start with Children’s Content: Find children’s programs on YouTube in the Dutch language. First, start with shows designed for toddlers. Then, progress to harder shows as your vocabulary grows. Though this sounds simple, it effectively trains your ears.
Consistency is Key: Complete your homework exercises every day. Also, practice a little bit daily. This simple routine brings the best and fastest results.
Dutch Language Lessons Prices are lower than on the language site I also work on. Moreover, the T&C are less strict.
