Verification Data for Reduced Rate Applicants (Low-Income Tiers)

1. What Data We Collect and Why:

To process applications for our regional reduced rates (Low-Income Tiers), we require applicants to submit official proof of local identity, residency, and net monthly income (under €1,100). This involves collecting copies of national IDs or passports, recent rental agreements or utility bills, and official income statements or payslips. This processing is based on your explicit consent and our legitimate interest in preventing fee fraud and ensuring fair pricing access for local populations.

2. Data Minimization and Redaction:

We strictly adhere to the principle of data minimization. We highly encourage applicants to blur, block out, or redact any sensitive information that is not strictly necessary for verification—such as national identification numbers, citizen service numbers (e.g., BSN or local equivalents), or unrelated transaction histories on payslips. We only need to see your full name, the issuing country, the residential address, and the final monthly net income figure.

3. Storage, Security, and Automated Deletion:

All verification files uploaded through our secure contact forms are encrypted during transmission and stored in a protected, access-restricted environment. We do not retain these sensitive documents. Once your application has been manually reviewed and approved (or denied) by us, all submitted files (passports, contracts, and payslips) are immediately and permanently deleted from our servers, local devices, and backups.

4. Retention Period:

The verification documents are held only for the duration of the evaluation process, which typically takes no longer than 10 business days. After deletion, we only retain a secure digital note on your client profile indicating that your regional discount has been approved and the date it expires (valid for one year).

5. Your Rights:

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or request the immediate erasure of your data at any point during the review process, or to withdraw your consent. If you withdraw consent prior to approval, your files will be deleted immediately, and your application for the reduced rate will be cancelled.
