Find quick answers to the most common questions about booking, taking, and preparing for your private Dutch language lessons, in our FAQ.

💻 Technical & Lesson Setup FAQ

  • Which video platform do we use for the lessons?
We use Google Meet. Once your booking via Koalendar is confirmed, you will automatically receive a Google Meet video link to join our virtual classroom.
  • What equipment do I need to participate?
You only need a computer, laptop, or tablet with a stable internet connection, a working webcam, and a microphone. A headset or earphones are recommended for the best audio experience.
  • Will you provide the learning materials?
Yes. I fully customize our learning materials based on your individual goals and current level. You do not need to purchase expensive textbooks before we begin.

📅 Booking & Packages

  • How do I schedule my lesson package?
After purchasing a 5, 10, or 20-lesson package, Koalendar allows you to book your preferred time slots immediately. You can book them all at once or schedule them week by week.
  • Can I change a lesson time after booking?
Yes. You can easily reschedule or cancel your lesson free of charge through your Koalendar confirmation email, provided you do so at least 24 hours before the lesson starts.
  • What happens if I miss a lesson or cancel late?
In line with our policy, lessons missed or canceled less than 24 hours in advance cannot be refunded. However, the session will be automatically rescheduled to a new available date so you do not lose your learning momentum.

🗣️ Language & Learning

  • What language will be spoken during the lessons?
The primary language of our lessons is Dutch. However, I use English as an additional language to explain complex grammar, translate difficult words, and make sure you fully understand everything we cover.
  • I am an absolute beginner. Can I join your lessons?
Absolutely! I welcome students of all levels. We will start with the absolute basics and build your vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
  • My native language uses a non-Latin script (like Greek or Cyrillic). Is that a problem?
Not at all. Since I am personally learning Greek, I deeply understand the unique hurdles of switching alphabets and sentence structures. We will pay special attention to pronunciation and reading rules to make your transition smooth

Q: Do you offer regional discounts or rates adjusted for local economies?

A: Yes, I believe in making education accessible. I offer a special Low-Income Tier with reduced rates and packages exclusively for original local inhabitants living and working within the domestic economies of specific countries.

Q: Which countries qualify for the regional low-income rate?

A: Currently, this offer is available to citizens and local inhabitants officially residing in Albania, Cyprus, Greece, Spain, Italy, Palestine, and Portugal. Please note that expatriates (expats), foreign nationals, or individuals employed by international entities living in these regions are strictly excluded, as their earning potential operates outside the local baseline.

A: To ensure this system remains fair and reaches the people who need it most, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be an original inhabitant/citizen of one of the listed countries.
  • Your total personal income must not exceed a maximum of €1,100 net per month.
  • You must provide recent official proof (not older than 3 months) of your identity, residency (e.g., a rental agreement), and income (e.g., a payslip).
